Extra money in PayPal account

I keep getting small payments into my PayPal account from America,it’s up to £700 at the moment,I’ve transferred it to my bank account at the moment,has this ever happened to anyone else ?

PayPal have now frozen my account,it’s a shame as I was working under the finders keepers rule,never mind....

The money is already in the o/p's possession.
All moving it into his bank account does (so long as he then doesn't spend it) is put an extra step in the process to return it (or having someone scam it, depending on your take)

I got £5,000 transfered into my current account from some weird place in the mid west USA. I left it there for about 2 weeks until I got a call from the back saying someone is asking for it back. Lucky I never spent it.

Isn't it wrong to take/keep money that doesn't belong to you?

try googling the email address that corresponds to that paypal account and see if it comes up with any other hits than you. A company may have it listed incorrectly on a site somewhere which might explain multiple payments from different people.

That would imply that somebody's bought some goods/services using Paypal and the seller has not received the funds.
Normally you'd expect the seller to kick up a fuss pretty quickly if they've sold something but not been paid.

Always... spot on. You’ll get rumbled anyway, no way you’ll end up with the cash. Can’t see a scammer risk losing that amount of money, more likely a genuine mistake and someone else is losing money sending it to you.

Call me 'old fashioned' but I might be considering letting PayPal know about it. Fess up now and stop;
A. Getting scammed
B. Being found out by PayPal and having your accounts frozen
C. Getting extradited, banged up and then thoroughly arse raped whilst wearing orange.

sounds a bit like the non existent sex toys scam where the amounts were sent back by cheque with DILDO REFUND stamped on them, take that down the post office.

If you do get money into the paypal account for other sales I presume you clear them out into your bank account so its not suspicious that you've done the same again.
If its small amounts and no one has asked for it back they probably aren't missing it.
Is it all from one account or a bunch?
